Dumangas Port

The Department of Transportation (DOTr) and the Philippine Ports Authority (PPA), headed by General Manager Jay Santiago, their port project with the help of Dynamic Builders and Construction Company, Inc. at the Port of Dumangas in Iloilo.

These include the expansion of the port, refurbishment of its Passenger Terminal Building (PTB), and the widening of road.

With the completion of these projects, safety and security will be ensured, comfort and convenience will be experienced by the port users and passengers, and the management and handling of vessels will become more efficient and effective.

Moreover, the construction of the back-up area for the port is well underway, and is being eyed for completion, before the year ends.

Apart from the much-improved maritime service and connectivity at the port, these projects also opened doors to a employment opportunities, and other socio-economic activities.

New Himamaylan City Hall

The new P223-million Himamaylan City Hall is a dream come true for residents of the place.

The new City Hall is located in Brgy. Talaban, Himamaylan City. It stands on a three-hectare property, that also includes the Hall of Justice and headquarters of the City Police Station. It was fully constructed and developed by Dynamic Builders and Construction Company, Inc. of Bacolod City.

The new Himalayan City Hall is considered the legacy of the people of Himamaylan City.

Twelve Catholic priests blessed the new City Hall and inaugurated it in the presence of provincial and local officials headed by then Vice Gov, now Gov Eugenio Jose Lacson, with Francis Tolentino, then political adviser of former President Rodrigo Duterte, as the guest of honor and speaker.

According to local officials, the national government offices will occupy the Old City Hall.

Silay-Lantawan Road Widening Project

Dynamic Builders and Construction Company, Inc. has also completed the Silay-Lantawan Road Widening Project in Silay City, Negros Occidental. The project was under the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Negros Occidental 1st District Engineering Office (DEO).

According to Dynamic Builders and Construction Company, Inc., the road widening project spanning 2.46 kilometers has been fast-tracked for completion.

Silay-Lanatwan Road is a major highway that is utilized in bringing farm products to the market specifically the hauling of sugarcane from farm-to-mill. This also serves as entry point to several tourist destination in the province.

DPWH allocated P69.04 million for the road widening project. It also covers embankment protection, stone masonry, and drainage provision.

The new Food Terminal Market of Negros Occidental (Pala-Pala)

The new Food Terminal Market of Negros Occidental, oftentimes referred to as the “Pala-Pala,” is a project by the province of Negros Occidental to provide livelihood for small business owners in a convenient place and very accessible to all.

You can find a variety of restaurants, fruits and vegetables, meat and fish section as well as dry goods. This area is located next to Ayala Mall in San Juan Street.

The Food Terminal Market of Negros Occidental (FTMON) here is one of the economic enterprise initiatives of the provincial government.

Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson has said that he hopes the province will be able to officially open the facility for business this June or next month at the latest.

“What’s important now is by the time we are open, everything is in place. We hope to open it within this month, (if not) at least not beyond July,” he said in a radio interview.

On May 29, Lacson led Capitol officials in inaugurating the Food Terminal Market, located at the corner of North Capitol Road and San Juan Street, and across the Ayala Malls Capitol Central, as part of the Negros Culture Hub Circuit, which features nine tourism sites in the vicinity of the Provincial Capitol building.

“Yes, we’re excited about it. It’s a nice place. It’s important that we can operate it well and keep it clean at all times,” the governor said, adding that the Food Terminal Market’s potentials should be maximized so that the province can generate enough income from its operation under the Economic Enterprise Development Department.

With a project cost of PHP114.6 million, the two-story building has 13 rentable kitchens, 14 rentable storage areas, 10 “bagsakan” areas, 10 food kiosks, 24 fish stalls, seven meat stalls, eight dry goods stalls, and 16 vending kiosks on the ground floor.

The second floor has several conference and function rooms for small meetings and large gatherings.

Before the new building was constructed, the area was popularly known as the “pala-pala” food terminal, where fresh seafood was sold, and customers had these cooked and consumed in stalls by the roadside.

As part of the Negros Culture Hub Circuit, the Food Terminal Market is the ninth and final stop, where guests can enjoy Negrense cuisine.
